Old U.S. Route 3
While most of the Franconia Notch Parkway is built on the U.S. Route 3 roadbed, it does bypass some older sections, most notably this concrete overpass over Lafayette Brook. Today, this bridge is closed to traffic.

Views of Franconia Notch Parkway from Cannon Mountain
Within the state park, Cannon Mountain forms the west wall of the notch and provides outstanding views to the north and south.
